Procedures for Shares

Information on the electronic provision system of materials for shareholders meetings

Due to the revision of the Companies Act, all listed companies, including the Company, are required to provide materials for shareholders meetings electronically starting from shareholders meetings to be held in March 2023 or later.
The electronic provision of materials for shareholders meetings is a system under which the URL of a website containing materials for shareholders meetings, such as the notice of convocation, is provided to shareholders, and shareholders can, in principle, view the materials on the provided website.
For details, please refer to the "Frequently Asked Questions (Electronic provision system)" (Japanese only) on the website of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.

Purchase and additional sale of odd-lot shares (1 to 99 shares)

There are various restrictions in "odd-lot shares" less than 100 shares. They cannot be traded in the share market and their holders cannot exercise voting rights. In order to remove such inconvenience, in addition to a system whereby shareholders can request the Company to purchase shares constituting less than one unit, the Company offers a system whereby shareholders can request the Company to sell additional shares (additional sale) up to the number of shares constituting one unit.

Transfer from a special account to an account at securities company

In accordance with the Act on Book-Entry Transfer of Company Bonds, Shares, etc., the "digitization of stock certificates (paperless share transfer)" was implemented on January 5, 2009. After this date, shares of the Company's stock that are still held in your possession as share certificates and have not been transferred to a securities company account are recorded in a "special account."
Shares recorded in a "special account" cannot be sold.
If your shares are recorded in a "special account," we recommend that you transfer the shares in the special account to a securities account opened at a securities company in order to facilitate smooth management procedures, such as trading of shares.
